I am a time-based artist. Even when my work looks like painting or drawing, I am functioning as a time-based artist as I consider the practice a durational performance. Untitled Drawing (#7) took nine months to complete. I knitted The Red Lotus (installation) over a week to create a space for acts of storytelling and silent listening, a performance by the audience. Having explored many genres over the years, I returned to making work that engages an audience and involves a larger community.
